2019 : Single Fin Mingle

With wind in the sails the Mingle roared into its 5th edition and celebrated half a decade of success. Renowned American painter and illustrator Ty Williams travelled out from Florida for his art and Mingle exhibition titled ‘Sea-peration Anxiety’. After having turned away hoards of party goers the year prior it was clear that a bigger venue was required to host our first international band for the Saturday night village Knee’s up party. Building an outdoor arena in the Sumner Village mall was an ambitious goal only The Mingle could pull off - and it did it with style. In the water Christchurch original Daisy Thomas pipped Australian star Ivy Thomas to win the women's title and the UK’s Mike Lay won one of the tightest Mingle finals we’ve ever seen.
