2017 : Single Fin Mingle

The stars arrive. It had only taken The Single Fin Mingle two wonderful years to place itself on the international longboard calendar and 2017 would be the proof. With over 20 Australians, 7 Americans, and 5 European surfers joining the 40 NZ competitors in attendance, the 3rd edition was an international affair. One of our favourite surfers and personalities, Robin Kegel made his first trip to the Mingle and made quite the impression, Ambrose’s primary school hall would see it’s best party of all time and in the men’s division local legend Nick Sarjeant was the only New Zealander to make it through to the final.
