2018 : Single Fin Mingle

Now cemented as one of the worlds best traditional log contests, 2018 would see the Minge develop into a fully fledged festival. Paul McNeill travelled from Byron Bay to be our first exhibiting artist and the Saturday night party made the transition from a private event to one of the greatest community concerts the town had seen. Mt Mounganui’s Jordan Griffin beat an international field to bring the men's title home to NZ, but Byron Bay's Clare Sull took the womens title across the tasman.
